I am going to be presenting a topic on career guidance at our Christians Young Men Fellowship on Saturday, I would be glad if you help me with some Bible verses relating to the topic as well as ideas which I can include therein.

Thank you for writing.
I hope that your message will be well received and that God inspires you to the specifics of all who are in attendance.
Here is what I call advancement scripture for confession and affirmation creation that will cover learning God’s purpose, promotion and developing faith for God’s will to take place in one’s career as well as for prosperity.
Advancement Scripture
Patience for God's advancement is found in the key verse below, 1Peter 5:6.
1Peter 5:5-7:
5. Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
6. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God that he may exalt (raise you up) you in due time:
7. Casting all your care (anxiety) upon him; for he careth for you.
Personalize by paraphrasing verses. Example: "I humble myself before God and believe that he will exalt and promote me in my work in his time" (not your time, His). Just keep moving in His guidance and you will live your calling within the steps He gives you. You can also say, referring to everything that causes you stress or anxiety, "I cast all my anxiety upon God because He cares about me."
Here is biblical proof (you must take by faith) that God is working on your behalf through His Son, Jesus Christ. The key verse is St. John 15:4.
St. John 15:4-7
4. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5. I am the vine ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
7. If ye abide in me (remain attached to), and my words (scripture) abide in you (affect), ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
There is much here to confess, but to keep it simple, speak a similar confession as the following: "I must remain attached to Christ (keep Christ at the center of your life) to remain prosperous in my calling and all that I do (bearing fruit). Because I do, I can ask what I want and it will be done for me (based upon God's prayer principles). I believe that with the attitude to do God's will, I am out of debt and my money is constantly increasing."

Also, read St. John 15:16 below to gain more insight that God has a special purpose for you and He will prosper you in that calling if you abide in Christ. You will bear fruit (prosper in what you do). And you can ask God for anything and He will give it to you.*
St. John 15:16
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain (abide): that whatever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
*Important Spiritual Law: you can ask for anything from God, but first you must make your request to Him in the name of Jesus Christ!
In Christ,
Margaret
