I really need help - what am i supposed to do with my life

I’ll try to make this short. I need help because I am so lost that I have quit trying to find "my own way", because searching has led me nowhere.

There are lots of things I could do, that I am capable of doing, but I really don’t have passion for any of them. And this state is going on for years now.

I am not the same person I was 9 or 10 years ago, I used to like everything, and now I am just uninterested, nothing I do gives me any pleasure. And even though I don’t know how am I going to pay my next rent, it is still more important to me to find out what I am supposed to do with my life.

What is my calling? I can only guess that it can not be just one thing because I have several talents, but to be honest I just don’t have the desire to do any of the things I used to like, and on the other hand I feel like I am trapped and can’t get out of this fog that is currently my life.

What I am trying to say that I think it would be much easier to find my path if I could go back to my normal state, which I can’t, more exactly - I don’t know how to get there.

Your email made clear the fact that you are in a different phase of your life. We all have different stages in life for emotional and physical growth, but we also go through “phases” or better said, “new waves” of ability and purpose.

This does not mean a simplification of the term “phase” meaning we might like a certain style of clothing one year and feel too sophisticated for it the next. It’s similar but on a much deeper level.

Your inward witness, (the Holy Spirit) is guiding you into a new phase of your life that is different than what you have been doing most of your life, however it may include some of what you’ve already done, but in a new way. To be clear, you are currently going through a “new phase” in your life. What you do now is take time in quiet prayer, using the prayer of consecration and dedication to wait upon God to show you His direction for your life.

By all means, please pay your rent! If you don’t it will hamper your progress with eviction notices and the inability to find a new place to live. Also, you want to do what is right to keep you close to God. He will show you the way, but so many times when we make mistakes, we feel too guilty to pray and ask God for anything. So keep your channel open before God with patience and the desire to know what He has for you. In fact, be excited!

This is what wealthy living is all about! Finding one’s way to a well-rounded life that is unique and exciting through Jesus Christ. So please, don’t be depressed about what you’re going through and don’t try to go back into the past. You can’t recapture what was. You must be ready for the “new.” If it includes parts of your past, there will be a new refreshing about it.

To learn about your special work or calling, you must take the time to pray and wait upon God with faith that He will show you the way. He will show you in steps. No one can do this work for you. Whatever you are or become is the result of your prayers past and present.
