A Comparison Of The Law Of Attraction To God's Spiritual Laws
The following is a description of The Law of Attraction and the Law of Cause and Effect. For a comparison with Biblical spiritual laws, press the link below. I've included this section to help those of you who have read books and have taken courses concerning the Law of Attraction to understand that although there is much validity in the practice, it will not offer you the fullness of God's principles for success in achieving a well-rounded Christian lifestyle. That being said, I'll go over both spiritual laws beginning with the law of attraction.
The Law Of Attraction:
The Law of Attraction, like all spiritual laws, is impartial and impersonal, which means it works when you want it to and when you don't want it to.
It states that everything you experience in your life is invited, attracted, and created by you. This may not be good news for some, but it's enlightening and will free you to take control over your life.
It's important to note that it's usually unconscious when you are attracting negatively, so a change in thinking is necessary to create what you want. You have a choice about WHAT you create, but it's a spiritual experience.
We're all creators because at some point we have given thought and emotion to what we have or what happens to us. In fact, we have no choice about whether we are creating because we are ALWAYS creating whether we realize it or not.
Unfortunately, most creations in people's lives are by default. This is why most people feel their lives are out of control.
The law of attraction states that whatever you fear or worry about will become your experience, and whatever you prepare against will become your experience. As you prepare yourself and guard yourself, and are frightened and worried about anything you don't want, by focusing your attention on it and adding emotion to your thought, you are attracting the very thing you are trying to guard against.
This is the crux of the law of attraction.
The Law Of Attraction Regarding Money
According to the law of attraction regarding money, rather than fighting against poverty or not having enough money, just begin to allow more abundance to come into your life.As you look into your own life experience and see the lack of anything; for example the lack of riches, understand that lack exists for only one reason. You're focusing on what you don’t want instead of what you do want. The emotions of hate, jealousy, anger, resentment, fear and worry create the opposite of what you want or desire to become. So, I think you get the picture of the law of attraction that states we are and we have what we create with our minds. Is this Biblical? I believe the law of attraction is taken from the Bible and is a part of the Law of Reciprocity. Those who study and operate in it are taught that they are the creators of what they want and who they become without giving God the credit. Because of quantum physics they can believe in God or they can believe in a creative source of their choosing in which they partner with for all they receive. If you're a Christian, this might help you understand how to operate in faith at a greater level, but don't allow the law of attraction take you away from our Heavenly Father, the source and creator of all things, and His Son, Jesus Christ who we can do all things by and through His name. Jesus Christ is our Savior! We can't let go of that truth and we must hold onto it by faith. As an incomplete spiritual law of operation taken from the Bible, the law of attraction will not make you into the full and complete believer we are told to be in the Bible. It will not set you into position within the Body of Christ. And without operating in God's law of love, this law will not bring us into the Christian lifestyle we should be living. It will take us out of the truth and connection we have with God and will make us double-minded and confused. You can only follow one belief system or the other. When Christian's follow the Law of Attraction, it will be helpful to make good changes in their personality, but it will not steer them in the direction of Jesus Christ and cause them to center their lives upon and identify with Him. It will only be to get more money, have more things, and become a success. This will happen without our noticing because the Word will not be at work in our lives. As Christians we already have success and all of our needs met as we seek first the kingdom of God. We do that by putting our faith in God for all things, while we think and act after the life of Jesus Christ. In conclusion, this is not a belief that is wrong, it follows faith to the extent of renewing your mind as we're told to do in the book of Romans, but if you are a Christian, you can't deny the existence of God. At the same time you'll be denying the existence of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. We are automatically a success through the work of Jesus Christ on the cross, so all we need do is receive what has already been given us through Him and by the Word of God. One more fact to realize. Without looking to God and His specific spiritual laws, and by only claiming what "we want," we won't have God's guidance or truth to know if our desire is indeed good for us. The law of attraction will not give us that guidance. Without using the correct form of prayer to communicate our specific desire, we may seek the wrong calling or ask for things that are out of God's will. If all we do is ask for things just because we want them, we can be hurt or move in a seriously wrong or disastrous direction.
The Law Of Cause And Effect:
We're told that by understanding the law of cause of effect and living by it we can predict the outcome of our lives.
Every spiritual and scientific teacher has sought to teach the spiritual law of cause and effect. I'm sure you'll recognize the words below from Sunday School or your church experience. Even from your teachers at school and from your parents.
"You reap what you sow, or you get what you give, or what goes around comes around, or every action has an equal and opposite reaction." I'm sure you've heard them all.
Everything is a cause that has an effect. And everything is an effect that had a cause. This huge chain-reaction is not bound by time, space or form, but by specific spiritual laws.
What you may not know about cause and effect is that it multiplies the results or the effect. In other words, you will not only experience what you cause yourself or others to experience, but it will come back multiplied and increased.
If you cause others to experience riches and happiness, it will come back to you and you will experience it as well, but as a bonus, you will experience much more than you caused others to experience.
At some point in your life, you will experience a multiple of what you cause others to experience.
Also, when you desire something, just focus on your desire and know it is all taken care of for you as long as you do your part in thinking, acting, speaking and being in accordance with your desire.
You take possession of what you want in this way.
How does the universe take instructions and turn your instructions into things?
The universe does not select which one of your images or thoughts to bring forth and which one not to. The way it works is that it brings forth ALL of your thoughts and images to the extent that you believe them.
You have free will. This free will is truly free because of the fact that all of your will is acted upon without any filtering or favoring by source energy or by the universe.
If you have perfect belief, imagination, faith, certainty and clarity, you can create results instantly.
You can also add thoughts and beliefs of riches for everyone. You can fulfill positive needs and desires of the rest of the world, and at the same time, attract massive riches for yourself. The world needs what you have to offer.
You must always affirm what you desire in the now. For example, "I choose to manifest (whatever your desire is) NOW.
If you wish faster results, the only way to shorten what you call "time" is by raising your level of certainty and increasing the clarity of your imagination.
Don’t keep changing your mind.
The universe becomes 'confused' by your scattered thoughts and it therefore produces 'confused' results.
How does this law Measure up with the Bible?
It's obvious that there is Biblical doctrine within this law as well. It works great with me, except that once again we can become alienated from God while receiving what we want. It also states that we can believe for others to receive.
If you're a Christian, use this information only to deepen your understanding of faith and the verse found in Luke 6:38 about our giving of anything.
Online Bible
The Law of Cause and Effect can be a good teacher to help you with a modern day understanding of giving by faith. However, there are Biblical laws for giving that will keep your motives pure for receiving what you want. They will also keep you grounded in Christ by forgiving all as we're reminded in Luke 6:37 and Mark 11:26-26. They tell us that we can have whatever we say or pray for, but we must first forgive all.
Because we have a free will, we can't always believe for others to get something just because we want something to be realized in their lives. Their will is involved as well. So you can't believe someone to marry you or love you, or you can't believe for someone to better their lives because you are believing it to be so, etc. If you believe for someone to be rich, they have to have that desire first.
We must use intercessory prayer to move God's hand on their behalf. If He can change their hearts, they will be changed, but not even God can force someone to do what they refuse to do.
I would like to end this subject with one more bit of information about the Law of Cause and Effect that I believe is good instruction that is helpful for trusting God.
Even before we ask anything from God it's given to us. He knows our needs and wants before we do. This is "Kingdom Living."
Begging Source Energy (source energy should be God from a Christian's point of view) for anything is a waste of time, because whatever you desire is already given to you even before you ask. Begging for something with the belief that someone or something in the universe will respond, creates more of what you don't want.
You must WILL your desire to come into being or to manifest in your life, rather than beg.
You do this by setting your intention wholeheartedly, clearly, focused, and with certainty. This is an inward process that's coupled with a sure expectation of an answer without a shred of doubt.
Then you pass your intention on to Source Energy, in whichever way you know how, and LET GO.
In other words, you watch it from behind the scenes without a desire that it happens in any particular way, time or sequence. Your thoughts and feelings must be an active, ever-present co-creative process with Source Energy (be a partner with God).
Your intention must be self-assertive, co-creative, ever-present and grateful, but never begging because what sense does it make to beg for something that is already given to you?
This should give a general understanding of the law of attraction and the law of cause and affect. However, I do have a book on the subject to help you with this comparison. You can receive it when you become a member.
