Wealth Control For Financial Success
While learning to build one's finances, it's important to practice wealth control. This should consist of a general budget for what money you have at the moment.
If you were to receive an abundance of money this moment, would you use it to perpetuate more? Pay off bills? Be better off financially for the rest of your life?
If you can't answer yes to any or all of the questions above, you need to practice wealth control until you learn how to create a constant flow of money. Even then, it might be helpful to keep a record of all major expenditures while budgeting money for each family member's monthly spending. That amount will vary with children depending upon age.
Please read below to discover where your money problems might be centered, then go directly to either of the links below for more information that will help you. Before you can make changes, you have to see that you have a problem. Then without looking back to ponder what caused your problem by forgiving yourself, you can quickly move forward to take control over your money and your life.
Reasons For Losing Control Over Money
Depressed (general, not clinical):
Some of us (I’ve been guilty of this) use spending to feel better when down or depressed. In my early twenties, I would go shopping whenever life seemed to be caving in on me. I was already in financial trouble, but I would use my credit card to purchase clothing.
I would feel great for a day or so, and then my emotions would drop because I knew I couldn’t afford what I had just purchased. I felt out of control and for good reason; I had the wrong MINDSET ABOUT MONEY and I didn't know how to rise above my emotions!
If only I had learned wealth control then, but I had the foolish notion that it was wrong to have money in those days. I was so confused. I have a hard time understanding my past actions now, but people just get into ruts and don’t know how to get out of them.
For help to overcome this particular behavior my free eCourse will help you. If you need more assistance, the book, "It Makes Perfect Biblical Sense" will give you the tools you need. Click on the following links:

Depression (Clinical):
Clinical depression is very serious and sometimes goes undetected for various reasons. It can be caused by a tremendous loss or feeling of failure, because of a chemical imbalance, or other deep rooted problems.
Sometimes this illness can cause one's life to be out of control in many areas including money. It's important to get diagnosed for your problem to control your life. This way you’ll know exactly what’s causing your problems.
Don’t be hard on yourself, but do work to move forward. God can heal you and the problems your illness has caused. My free e-course will help you understand the principles of faith and prayer for spiritual guidance along with the pages of this website.
Low Self Esteem:
Persons can lose control of their money because they don’t see value in themselves aside from their job, money and possessions. Therefore they have a need to prove to others their financial power, worth, or spending ability. When this happens, one stops building their character and leans upon their money and buying power as their identity. They work hard to be rich, but they only end up spending beyond their means.
There is so much stress and trouble that goes with this lifestyle. It’s just not worth it in the end, because eventually one's true identity will be exposed as someone who is shallow and afraid of living the truth. And with this thinking, great financial wealth will always be allusive.
You can easily change who you are if you center upon Kingdom living. Almost immediately you’ll begin to understand who you are in Christ and you will become so at ease about money, your financial wealth will begin to build while your character deepens. You will love your life!
Poor Money Skills:
I believe our high schools and colleges should teach general money management and make it a required subject. Many of us have no money sense or wealth control because we never had the need or opportunity to learn until we were on our own and quickly got into financial trouble. By then life seemed so insurmountable, we just did our best to roll with the circumstances rather than exercise wealth control. And from that point, bad habits continue and get worse.
Fortunately, I learned how to build my money through God’s wealth program, and learned how to control it by keeping a budget that I increased as my money increased. Unless one is determined to change their situation and take positive action, there will never be a change in his or her financial situation. Without money wisdom we can receive a large sum of money and it will slip right through our fingers, leaving us no better off.
I believe that the key to one’s financial demise stems back to his or her attitude of money as a child. All parents should learn how to control money, learn how to make it grow, and teach their children money management skills.
If you fit into this category, I can help you change your attitude, and there are free resources (see below) to help you organize your money. See below for the free ebook. If you have a problem when you hit the link, hit your back-button and try again. It should work after that.
A Love of Spending:
We all have hobbies, but some people make theirs shopping. This is fine; as long as one has a specific monetary amount budgeted for it or an endless supply. However, if you fit into this category, it’s important to make sure you don’t center your life on shopping and buying stuff.
If you want God to fix your financial situation, you will have to put Him first and keep your shopping in perspective. This is a good thing, because it will actually help you to stay on a budget and practice wealth control over your money for the rest of your life. This is called good stewardship.
Expensive Hobbies:
Many people have expensive hobbies. While it’s right to enjoy our lives, we have to set a monthly standard of wealth control over our enjoyment spending until we experience an abundant cash flow.
Establishing and working an allowance program will lead to increased spending.
Charity:
While it’s Biblically correct to give, especially to God with our tithes and offerings, we can give our charity more priority that we can afford. There is a way to give by faith that will bring you more money, but if all you do is give away money to causes, people in need, and whoever asks of you, your money can dwindle away, leaving you broke or in debt.
Wealth control and wisdom will go a long way here if we're giving to the wrong places or people. Examine your giving and cut-off any that may be keeping someone else from learning to control their money for their own financial increase. Get control over your money and teach others to do the same.
Drinking and Smoking Addiction:
Alcohol and cigarette smoking are two areas of spending that cost a bundle of money and can shorten lives. I’m not going to expound on my beliefs about either, but I will say that one would do well to cut these expenses out of their budget completely. This will substantially lower your financial outgo and may increase the years of your life.
Health and wealth control are needed in this area of spending and in your life. There are many great resources to help you stop both dependencies. It can be done! My father was able to beat alcoholism and smoking. It greatly enhanced his spending ability and more important, the quality of his life.
If you’re addicted to gambling, your money situation will only get worse as you continue to lose control. Many families have been ruined from this addiction. Immediate help is needed in this area or one’s financial situation will be devastated no matter how much money is earned. If you have this problem, go to a good Christian counselor or the pastor of your local church for resources.
It goes without saying that drug addictions will destroy your money and everything about your life. You’ll need to get the proper help needed or you’ll be poor for the rest of your life. Worse, you'll alter your life expectancy and bring harm to all those who love you.
Go to a local church and find the resources you need in your area to get well. Your life and your money will never move forward if you don’t. You will not be able to cultivate the correct mind-set for increasing you money because your motives will be wrong.
