What Is The True Wealth Behind Every Wealthy Person?

If you have, I've got some shocking news for you.

There's no difference except for one thing. A wealthy person believes they're wealthy.

Does this imply that you're wealthy too?

Emphatically yes! However, unless you were born into financial wealth, you inherit it, or you win the lottery, you probably don't see how my statement could ever be true or possible.

Who's fault is that?

If you can't see yourself as a wealthy person at this moment, I understand. I used to think that way too until I came to realize that I was wealthy even if I didn't have financial evidence.

God made us financially wealthy, but failure is more ingrained into us by society than success, leaving only a few people with a wealth mentality -- those who have physical evidence.

The spiritual evidence of this fact is given to us throughout the Bible, but Deuteronomy 28:1-13 leaves no doubt that we were created to live in financial abundance. However, those verses also make it clear that riches alone don't make us completely wealthy people from God's point of view.

True wealth comes from centering our lives upon Him and His ways. When we do that, we set a chain of events in motion by our faith that creates a healthy-wealthy lifestyle.

That lifestyle comes alive in the greatest way when we allow God to lead us to our special work or calling that yields the most fulfillment. It will keep us in good health, give us the most financial prosperity, and it will deepen us to be more aware of all that's most important in life.

Therefore, truly wealthy people seek God for their calling and take the necessary steps to live it.

How To Center Our Lives Upon God

I’ve always found learning from the Word of God exciting, although, growing up in the church I had attended, I witnessed little joy and much competition within the congregation.

The egos there were big, which meant there was a constant need for many to show others how great they were instead of how great God is. Sadly, their beliefs made money and status the key factors for their Christianity.

I found that attitude so ugly that most of the time, I did my work in the church as quiet as a mouse. I didn’t want anyone looking at me. I wanted to work in silence so that Christ would be displayed through me. And I wanted to show that I was better than they were.

I maintained a poor mentality to show God I was better than they were because I didn't put money before Christian service and love.

What I came to see was that my silence allowed others to take claim for the hard work I had accomplished, leaving me to be a liar every time they bragged about all the hard work they did and the money they spent for projects that I had purchased and created.

I could live with that, but I felt that I should tell the truth, yet I would be bragging like all the others. "What should I do?" I pondered for the longest time.

Really the answer was simple, but in those days I made everything complicated. My thinking was shallow and not at all based upon the strength of God's Word. I most assuredly did not display myself as a wealthy person following in His ways.

All I had to do was live within my destiny, the work God had called me to do, and I wouldn’t have noticed the foolishness around me. Instead, I would have remained focused. I would have been so absorbed in my work that all would have prospered for the good of the Lord and my work would have been respected, making me a quiet, but loud example for many to follow.

At that time, I obviously had a poor mentality without benefit of God's financial prosperity and I can certainly understand why. My thoughts were wasted on the negative side of others, keeping me from progressing with God.

Truly I was arrogant, but I didn’t notice it because I was too busy looking at others and judging them.

I wasn’t much better than they were, maybe worse. But it doesn’t matter now. Everything we do is a learning process, so I just moved on and grew wiser in the process. That action immediately put me back on the path to what I was meant to do.

I don’t know what problems you may be facing that are holding you back from attaining the dreams God gave you and the goals you've set, but if you just center on Christ and the exciting place He's given you in the Body of Christ, you'll have taken your first step into the land of milk and honey.

You'll achieve your God-given blessings and dreams as long as you keep your thoughts on yourself and not the mistakes of others. Don't judge people harshly and have compassion the way God does for you. If you don't, you'll push yourself away from your goals rather than toward the talents you were given.

Pray for God to bless those who need more wisdom and forgive them, and in time, you'll seem them in a different light. They may even assist you in your work and financial efforts.

You'll become stronger in your purpose when you do. The wisdom you receive will keep you in the knowledge that you too are a wealthy person by God's design!
